The large terrace will be the stage for the creative and socializing projects that we intend to develop. A valuable space, magically nestled in the rooftops of the area, overlooking the historic and imposing chimney stack, in a landscape unexpectedly open and charming. Relaxation, having a good chat and a lot of imagination in the beautiful sunny days.
The floor is the basis of every project so, especially in this case, we could not accept any compromise: we wanted something that would constitute a scenario on its own, enhancing the installations and the green outfitting we will design.
This is why Novowood Dark Grey, an innovative weatherproof wood composite, warm looking and of design. Low maintenance and long duration. When we proposed the idea to Andrea Pizzardi we were close to Christmas. Within a few hours Andrea created his project. Before Christmas Eve we agreed terms and procedures and within a little over a month we had the terrace delivered as we wanted!
As with all our other partnerships, we got the confirmation also with Novowood: the idea, the project and the product are fundamental, but it’s always the people that make the difference.
NOVOWOOD
Novowood is a composite material that benefits from the quality of the materials that compose it, creating a new high-tech material able to be used as a detail of architectural value re-proposing the warmth of wood while maintaining unchanged its own characteristics over time. NOVOWOOD joining the MILOFT project is the tangible proof of the research applied to building materials, reaching a total extension of the areas of use, initially for harbour / maritime purposes, up to the accomodations that need to increase the value of the architectural characteristics. MILOFT is an ambitious and innovative project, immersed in an updated urban contest in the heart of the Milan's fashion and design area. It is thanks to Fabio and Barbara, managers of the accomodation, that we could use NOVOWOOD applications in both flooring and cladding, planning and sharing the individual phases of the development. Finally, thanks to the creativity of Fabio, we could get in touch with artists who, under his careful direction, have reinterpreted our flooring in the area of access, merging together with creepers and creating a striking effect of nature/technology promiscuity.
